Fartle still stores today's in-progress puzzle, mute, and photo cache in localStorage on this device. If you sign in with Google, your display name, photo, daily results, guess history, streak, and all-time score are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) so the public Fart Legends board can be shared. We do not write your email address into that public board. Sign out from the masthead. You can also delete the Firebase project later from the Google console.

The edition also fetches, in the browser: headlines from The Onion (via a public RSS-to-JSON helper), object photographs from Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons, and London weather from Open-Meteo. Those services see a normal page request from your network.

If Google AdSense is switched on in js/adsense-config.js, Google may use cookies or similar technology to serve and measure advertisements. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses advertising cookies. You can opt out of personalised ads via Google Ads Settings.

House advertisements in the paper are ours. They do not track you. A support link, if present, goes to the third-party pint jar (for example Ko-fi) and is covered by that service's terms.
